Accommodation

Holly house started out as a farmhouse in the picturesque village of Burringham near Scunthorpe and has been restored and extended to provide accommodation for the elderly. It provides accommodation in rooms of various sizes and many are en suite rooms but others are single rooms. The bedrooms are decorated and well furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table with a lamp, comfy chair and a tray table. All are large enough for wheelchair access. All single rooms are with easy reach of the bathrooms and toilets.

We provide comfortable lounges, conservatory areas, dining room, and activity area.

Holly house has a pleasant dining room and residents are encouraged to take their meals there, but can have their meals in their own rooms if that is what they prefer.

The home has single rooms; the majority of these are en suite having ample bedroom furniture, but also with enough space for personal items, photographs and ornaments to create a cosy environment.

Our shower rooms and bathrooms are fitted with the appropriate hoist aids to make bathing easier.

Food

Holly house has an excellent and varied menu. Our experienced cooks produce home cooked nutritional meals on the premises. The menu is regularly changed and all personal likes and dislikes are catered for along with specific dietary requirements. Our residents are encouraged to join the other residents for their meals, but they can enjoy a relaxed breakfast in bed, if this is what they want. Breakfast usually comprises of a choice of fruit juices, cereals and/or porridge followed by toast, jams, marmalade, tea or coffee and fresh fruit. Our residents can choose to have a hot breakfast also, if this is what they want.

Lunch is two courses with a choice of dessert. Fridays are usually fish and chips and a traditional  roast on a Sunday.

There are hot drinks and snacks available throughout the day, and menu changes to reflect the seasonal changes.
